Alpha Dictionary Letter F

Hi everyone! How are you all? Today I'm sharing another Journal page over at The Craft Barn. The letter was F but with a twist...the twist was that we had to add a heart somewhere onto the page! So I made a pink ombre background using a brayer and the sprayed some hairspray onto it and sprinkled some glitter onto the page to make it sparkle but it's quite hard to see. Next I used some overlays and put a corner one obviously in the corner and a couple of other ones for a bit of decoration. I die cut a fairy and put her as if she was stood on one of the flower overlays and the made it look like she was holding a hanging heart. I then stamped out the letters to spell out fairies and then instead of stamping out the whole definition I stamped out the words, Small, Supernatural and Magic because I thought it described fairies pretty well. I'm really enjoying these journal pages so far!

Alpha Dictionary Letter Q!

Hi everyone! How are you? Today i'm sharing my second journal page for the Alpha Dictionary challenge over at The Craft Barn. Every fortnight, the craft barn gives us a letter and we're free to choose whatever that letter stands for. The only thing we have to do is add the dictionary definition. This fortnight's letter was Q. As soon as my mum told me, I knew exactly what word i was going to pick! QUOTES! I love quotes! So i was so excited to get started! I chose a quote card from my stash that I really liked and trimmed it down a bit. I started by mixing pink&purple paint with a brayer and added bits of stencilling. I doodled around the edges, stuck the quote card in the middle. I then stamped out the letters to spell out quotes onto a piece of plain paper and cut them out separately. I stuck them onto the page and wrote the dictionary definition. I enjoyed doing this page SO much!

Alpha Dictionary letter B!

Hello everyone!
Today i'm sharing with you a journal page that I made for the Alpha Dictionary challenge over at The Craft Barn! Every fortnight, the Craft Barn gives us a letter and we're free to choose whatever word that letter stands for.  All that they ask is that you add the dictionary definition of the word. You can make anything! An ATC, a journal page, a tag etc. So I decided to make a journal page, the first letter was B so I chose the word Believe and I started with a base of Dylusion spray inks. Once that was dry, I doodled a black and white border around the edge using Posca pens. Then I stamped the word Believe from a Visible Image stamp and then heat embossed it, the die-cut butterfly was embossed the same way. I wrote the dictionary definition using a black Copic fine liner and finished with a sprinkle of gems. I can't wait for the next letters!

Something New with Crafty Calenders!

Hi everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Starting the new year with a new challenge
at Crafty Calenders! The theme is "Something New." As always you can make
anything you want but it must fit the theme. We're lucky enough to have 2 sponsors
 this month:
1 - All Dressed Up, who are giving away 2 digis to the winner!

2- Wild Orchard Crafts, who are giving away a £10 gift voucher!

You have until January 28th to join in and as always, the Crafty Calender
DT have all made some gorgeous makes so make sure to go over to
the challenge blog!
For this challenge, I started by using a new technique using
shaving foam! Shaving foam, a few drops of ink swirled together makes the
best marble effect!  I found this technique from one of my mums craft
magazines and I was so happy with the results! That's my something new...a new technique

Sparkle, Bling and Embellish with Crafty Calendars!

Hi everyone! How're you? Today is a new challenge over at Crafty Calendars
and the theme is "Sparkle, Bling and Embellish" This challenge is
sponsored by Brenda's Lace and Ribbons specials with an amazing prize
of a goody bag!
For this challenge I decided to make a canvas for my room. I took
a blank mini canvas and sprayed it with Orange&Yellow dylusions.
To add some sparkle, while the canvas was still wet, I sprinkled the canvas
with some glitter. I then die-cut a load of different sized butterfly's
and put some Tim Holtz words and finished it off with some gems.
The other girls have made some amazing creations so remember to go
over to the challenge blog to see them!

Halloween with Crafty Calenders!

Hey everyone! Today there's a new challenge over at Crafty Calenders
and the theme is HALLOWEEN! I love any thing Halloween so I loved
this theme! For this theme I made some mummy ATC'S, I started
by cutting some black card down to the right size and then I ripped some
paper and inked the edges, some with black and some with light brown.
I then found some googly eyes. These were actually really easy to make and
I love them, I think they look awesome! The sponsor is Di's Digis
and the prize is a $12 gift voucher to use in her store. As always you can
make whatever you want as long as it fits the theme! The girls on
the team have all made some spooktacular makes!
