Sparkle, Bling and Embellish with Crafty Calendars!

Hi everyone! How're you? Today is a new challenge over at Crafty Calendars
and the theme is "Sparkle, Bling and Embellish" This challenge is
sponsored by Brenda's Lace and Ribbons specials with an amazing prize
of a goody bag!
For this challenge I decided to make a canvas for my room. I took
a blank mini canvas and sprayed it with Orange&Yellow dylusions.
To add some sparkle, while the canvas was still wet, I sprinkled the canvas
with some glitter. I then die-cut a load of different sized butterfly's
and put some Tim Holtz words and finished it off with some gems.
The other girls have made some amazing creations so remember to go
over to the challenge blog to see them!

Thanks for visiting my blog today, I'll see you soon!

Halloween with Crafty Calenders!

Hey everyone! Today there's a new challenge over at Crafty Calenders
and the theme is HALLOWEEN! I love any thing Halloween so I loved
this theme! For this theme I made some mummy ATC'S, I started
by cutting some black card down to the right size and then I ripped some
paper and inked the edges, some with black and some with light brown.
I then found some googly eyes. These were actually really easy to make and
I love them, I think they look awesome! The sponsor is Di's Digis
and the prize is a $12 gift voucher to use in her store. As always you can
make whatever you want as long as it fits the theme! The girls on
the team have all made some spooktacular makes!

Summer Challene #10 & #11

Hi everyone! Are you alright? Today, I'm sharing my Summer challenges #10 & #11 which is "Watch and review a Christmas movie" and "Watch and review another Christmas movie" I love watching Christmas movies because it makes me feel really festive and in the Christmas mood! The movies I watched are "I'll be home for Christmas" and "Winter Wonderland."

I'll be home for Christmas is such a good film and it made me feel so Christmassy! It's about a boy named Jake and he's really spoiled and always finds an excuse to stay at his boarding school rather than go home for Christmas. Then when his dad offers him the family Porsche if he comes home by Christmas eve, he rushes to get home but then some kids that he's been mean to before, puts him into a Santa costume, glues his beard and hat onto his head and stranded him in the middle of a desert. He tries everything to get home but things keep getting in they way but then eventually he gets home for Christmas and learns that not everything is about the presents.

Winter Wonderland is the first Christmas film that I watched this year and I will probably watch it again because I really like it! It's about a family who goes Christmas shopping and the dad leaves his 2 sons to look after his daughter Mary. The oldest son laves them waiting in line to see Santa. After seeing Santa, they go around looking in shops and they find a bag of money and lots of it! They decide to spend most of it and then give the rest of their dad. The money turns out to be fake and the owners REALLY want the money back!

Anything Goes with Crafty Calendars!

Hi everyone! Guess what! I am now on the Crafty Calendars Design Team!
I am so excited to be making for Crafty Calendars so thank you all for
having me! The challenge is the first Saturday of every month and for
my first challenge with them, the theme is anything goes. The sponsor is
Robyn's Fetish who is giving away 3 digital stamps of the winners choice.
Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is owned by Robyn Weinrib. Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion. For this challenge, we got given the choice of 3 images to use and I chose this one. I
made a tag using some woodland papers and coloured the image with some of
my pencils. This was easy and simple to make and I think it looks quite good! The
rest of the girls the design team have made some gorgeous creations so you
should go over to the crafty calendars challenge blog and have a look.

I hope you have a nice weekend, thanks for visiting my blog and I'll see you soon!

Summer Challenge #9

Hi everyone, are you alright? It's the first of September
already! I don't go back to school until the 10th so I'm trying
to get in as much crafty time as possible! Today I'm sharing
Summer Challenge #9 I'm already half way done with my
challenges! Challenge #9 is "Decorate a mug". I love everything
Paris and for this mug I used a paris skyline die, die-cut it in
paper, stuck it onto the mug and drew round it with a fine liner. I
filled it in with a sharpie and wrote Paris with a love heart. I baked it in
the oven for half and hour and then once it was cooled down, I went
over it again. This was so easy to make and I love the fact that you can
decorate it however you want and make it your own. I'll definitely
be doing some more of these!

Thanks for visiting my blog and I'll see you soon!

Summr Challenge #7 and #8

Hiya, have you all had a good weekend? I've spent the weekend with my friend
Jess at a caravan site and although it was fun and we had a good time; it's
good to be home! So today I'm sharing Summer Challenge #7 and #8 which
is "Write a book review" and "Write another book review" and seen as
though, they're they same thing I thought I'd put them both on the same post.

The first book I reviewed is The Fault In Our Star by John Green.
It didn't take me long to read this book because I really enjoyed it and
I didn't want it to end! It starts with a girl called Hazel who is a 17 year old
girl with cancer. She isn't very social and is obsessed with a book called An
Imperial Affliction. She goes to support group to please her parents and while
there she meets a boy called Augustus/Gus. They end up becoming best friends
and Gus ends up reading An Imperial Affliction and loves it as much as
Hazel. Every child/teenager with cancer gets one wish and as long as it's
realistic; the founders of the charity will make it happen if it's possible.
Hazel already used her wish when she was younger to go to Disney land
with her parents. Gus uses his wish to take him, hazel and her parents
to Amsterdam to meet the author of An Imperial Affliction. While
in Amsterdam, they visit Anne Frank's house, go for a fancy dinner and
meet the author of An Imperial Affliction-Peter Van Houten. Although
the visit to meet Peter Van Houten wasn't as they expected, they still
ended up having a great time! I'm not going to spoil the ending but
if you're going to read it, make sure you've got a box of tissues
close by!
I rate this book a 9/10

The other book I reviewed is Gone by Michael Grant. I couldn't
properly get into this book because although the storyline was so well
thought out and interesting, it didn't grab my attention. In the book;
everyone over the age of 15 disappears, leaving all of the children
by themselves. There's also a huge, tall barrier/wall that goes
around in a circle, separating them from the outside world. On top
of all of that, there are certain kids with powers for example; the
main character Sam can shoot beams of light out of his hands and
it will burn a hole through anything. Then as well as dealing with
all of that; they need to find a way out and be re-united with their
families before vanishing when they turn 15. So Sam and his friends
have definitely got their work cut out for them!
I rate this book an 8/10

Well, those are my two book reviews! I'm sorry this post was
long but thanks for visiting my blog and I'll see you soon!

Summer Challenge #6

Hi everyone! I hope you've had a nice weekend! Today I'm sharing a journal
page that I made for one of my summer challenges which is "Write a short
story." For this challenge I wrote a story about a vampire named Fabian that
haunts a forest and for my journal page I wanted to try and recreate what I
think Fabian's Forest would look like. I used some pastels onto a piece
of black card for the background and die-cut some trees, a moon, some bats
and then I cut some black scraps to make the little sign. I typed and printed
my story and stuck it onto the back but because it is quite long for
a short story I don't really want to type it all out and its a couple of pages
long anyway and I wouldn't want to bore you with such a long post!
I really liked making this page and im going to keep going with them!

Thanks for visiting my blog see you soon!

Share An Oldie this Friday!

Hi everyone! I hope you're all well and have had a good week!
It's Friday, which means it's time to Share An Oldie with Erika over at
snappycrafts. Today, my oldie is a Halloween card that I made in 2011,
following a sketch. I love Halloween and I loved making this card!
The monster image came from lili of the valley ages ago and the rest
came from mum's stash! I still love these images and papers and I
might even use them again this year! I quite like how this card turned out and
it was my first Halloween card! I'm gonna keep this short and sweet
because im off to go watch a bit of Coronation Street!

Thanks for visiting my blog, see you soon!

Summer Challenge #5

Hi everyone! Are you having a good week? Today I'm sharing a
homemade brooch that I made for summer challenge #5 which is
"Make a piece of jewellery"  I made this by die-cutting a flower out of
felt, then I die-cut 4 smaller flowers out of net, folded them into
quarters and sewed them all to the felt.  I die-cut a smaller flower out
of felt and sewed it on top. Because the back was quite messy, I die-cut
another felt flower to stick on the back to make it look neater. I sewed
a brooch pin onto the back and then stuck a big gem into the middle
of the top flower.  This was so quick and easy to make and I really
like it!

Well, thanks for visiting my blog today,
see you soon!

Share An Oldie

Hi everyone! I've decided to join in with Erika over at snappycrafts with
'Share An Oldie this Friday!' That's where every Friday you put a post
showing an old craft make that you did. I've always thought this was
a really good idea because it shows you how much you've changed
craft-wise over the years...or not!  So today, obviously it's Friday and because
it's my first Share An Oldie I want to share my first ever card that I made
and put on my blog. I put this on my blog in the middle of October
2011 which means that this year I will have been blogging for 4 years!!
It doesn't seem 2 minutes ago when I was writing my first blog post!
I coloured this image with some crayons and I remember I named the dog
Patch, I don't know why exactly! I was quite happy with how this card
turned out considering it was my first but looking back, it was quite
plain and I could do better now!

Thanks for visiting my blog today,

July ATC Swap!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all okay! Today I'm sharing my ATC'S for
my mum Jo's ATC Swap! July's theme was Embossing wet or dry or
even both! For these ATC'S I took a piece of blue card, put it through a
snowflake embossing folder and through the spellbinder. Then I went over
it with some blue mica paints to give it some more colour. I punched out a
white snowflake and stuck it on. I added a blue pearl to the middle of it and
added some smaller white pearls to the embossed snowflakes. Once all
that had dried, I used some blue ink pads and went round the edges of
the ATC'S.

Right, well that's all from me, thanks for visiting my blog today
see you soon!

June ATC'S

Hi everyone! Today, I'm sharing the ATC'S from June and the theme
was Zentangle. I love zentangle so I was really happy when I found out
this was the theme. For the ATC'S I drew round a bird die and filled
it in with zentangle. Then I matted and layered it onto some black
card and die cut a wing, a beak and an eye and stuck them onto the bird.
I really liked making these ATC'S and they were really easy to make!

These weren't for a challenge but I wanted to show you them but I will
carry on with my summer challenge on Thursday.
Thanks for visiting my blog today, see you soon!

Summer Challenge #4

Hi everyone, how's your weekend been? Today, I'm sharing Summer challenge
#4 and it is "Make Homemade Ice-Lollies."  I loved making these so I thought
everyone else would as well so I'm going to show you how I made them!

The ingredients that I used were:
-Strawberries
-A banana
-A big glass of pineapple juice.
I also got some ice lolly holders.

I chopped up the strawberries and bananas and put them onto
a plate. Then I poured the pineapple juice into a glass.

I put all of the fruit into the blender and then added
the pineapple juice. After it was all blended, I sieved it to
get all of the seeds from the strawberries out.

I poured the mixture into the ice lolly holders and
put it into the freezer and left it in over night.

The next morning, I took them out of the freezer and
melted some cooking chocolate. Then I dipped the end of the
ice lolly into the chocolate.

I loved the ice lollies, they were so nice!  I also had so much
fun making them and I'm definitely going to make some more
soon!

Thanks for visiting my blog, I'll see you soon!

Summer challenge #3

Hi everyone! How are you?  This drawing was for Summer Challenge
#3 which is "Draw Something." So I was thinking about what I could draw
and I love pigs, I think they're so cute...how could anyone eat them? So I
decided to draw a pig! I named her Jeanine. I'm obviously not a professional
drawer but I love to draw so I'd love for you to comment and tell me what you think!

I added a bit of shading in places but not too much so it doesn't look
over-shaded.  I also drew some little pieces of grass and flowers at the bottom
of the page so that it gives the pig a bit of grounding rather than it just
floating. I'm really happy with how it turned out and I'm definitely going to
 do some more drawings!

Thanks for visiting my blog, I'll see you soon!

Summer Challenge #2

Hello everyone! Are you having a good week?
Today I'm sharing challenge #2 of my Summer craft challenge! The theme
is to "Craft something Christmas." I love making things Christmas and me
and Mum always decorate the mantelpiece in the living room. It's so much fun!
Today I would like you to meet Betty the Snowlady! Isn't she adorable!
She's so quick & easy to make, I used a white sock, some string, a packet of
rice, a piece of fabric, some buttons and a few little gems.  I think she's going
to be the Mum to a whole family of little snowmen!
I think  next time we're going to get thicker socks because so the body will
look as white as the hat but I'm really happy with it for a 1st attempt,
If you want to have a go at making your own Betty let me know & I'll show
you how I made mine.
I would love to enter Betty into some challenges.

The Summer Challenge Begins...

Hi everyone! I hope you're all okay and enjoying the week. I'm
so sorry I haven't blogged in over a month...I'm such a bad blogger
but, I've got something that should keep my blog updated and hopefully
get me some more followers! I broke up from school a week ago so I've had a
week off already but I've still got over 6 weeks left! I'm loving the holidays
so far but I've been quite bored so my mum came up with a summer challenge
for me to do. She'd been planning it for a while and when she eventually
told me about it, I was so happy! I've got 18 challenges that I'm going to do and
blog every other day. The challenges are crafting, sewing, baking, drawing,
reading, writing, it basically covers everything I love to do! I'm hoping
that because I'll be blogging a few times a week, it will get me
more followers! Once I've completed a challenge, I make like a
scrapbook page on that challenge.

The first challenge was to make a journal cover. I made the
cover using some 12x12 papers out of my mum's stash, I wanted to
add a bit of texture and 3dness, if that's a word lol, so I took a scrap
of another piece of the same paper and cut around the flowers and
stuck them onto the ones that were already on the page. I added
a couple of embellies that I love the look of!

Overall, I'm really happy with how it turned out and I
can't wait to do some more challenges! So make sure
to check back every couple of days to see what I've done.

May ATC's

Hi everyone. I'm so sorry I've been a terrible blogger recently but
I've been really busy with school because it's nearly the end of the school
year which means lots of assessments and lots of homework! But
im back and I will make sure to stay up to date with my blog!
Last months ATC theme was Flowers. I had so much fun
making these ATC's because I got to make an inky background
which I love doing and then I stamped some flowers onto it
and stuck some little seed beads in the middle of them. Finally,
I cut them down to the right size and matted and layered them
onto some black card.
Thanks for visiting my blog, see you soon!

Stitching ATC'S

`Hi everyone, happy Monday! If you didn't know
already, my mum runs her own ATC swap. I'll leave
the link here. I join in with the ATC swap and April's
theme was Stitching-real or faux. My mum told me a
quote about stitching and I loved it: "A stitch in
time saves 9". So I decided to use this quote on my
ATC's. If you haven't already, you should definitely go
over and visit my mum's blog and join the ATC swap!
I loved how these turned out and it was so easy and
simple to make!

Journal 52-Collage Crazy

Hi everyone! How are you? I want to share
a journal page with you. So this Journal
page, the prompt is Collage Crazy and that
was prompt 16.  For this page, I went through
my mums old photos and picked some of my
favourite ones from my childhood; I've got pictures
of my family, my Best Friend Jess, me and my mum,
my first day of secondary school, all sorts! I love
this page because it reminds me of all of the
good memories from my childhood. I'm going to keep
this Journal when I'm all grown up and I can look back
at all of these pages.

Journal 52-Colouring Book Inspiration

Hi everyone you okay? Haven't done much today, we've got the
day off school for May Day or something so I've just been watching
a marathon of my favourite programme on the sofa all day! On
Friday though, me and my school went to go watch the Tour De
Yorkshire as it was coming to Scarborough and it was so cool watching
them all go past! Anyway, I know you're probably getting
sick of seeing these but I love making them so much! So the other day
I was looking down my list of Journal 52 prompts and I was picking
out which one I would do in my Journal. I got to the prompt "Colouring
Book Inspiration." and thought about that time when all of us we're kids and
were painting/colouring and we would do the typical green grass and
blue sky with the sun in the corner of the page. Oh and a house with
stick people living in it? What I decided to do was create that using
my mums paint stash. I have to say, I love the way it turned out...very child
like! This was week 10's prompt and if you haven't already, you should
definitely go and have a go at it yourself...it's so much fun!

Thanks for visiting my blog!
See you next week!

Journal 52-Just Write

Hi everyone! So, yes I'm sharing ANOTHER
Journal 52 page! Today, I'm sharing prompt
no. 11 which is...JUST WRITE! So for
this page I made a pink and purple background using
Dylusion sprays and Dabbers and then
just simply wrote. I wrote about some of the
most random things but I just wrote! After that I
did a border around the edge of the paper and...
that's it! That's one of the things I love about
these Journal pages, it can be the most
simplest page but can still look really
good!
Thanks for visiting  blog, see you next week!

Journal 52-Valentines

Hi everyone, you alright? I have finally decided (after a long debate in my
head) that I would post a new thing on my blog every Monday. So
because today is Monday, that means I get to share one of my
creations! I am so excited to share this with you because once I had
made this page, I was so happy with it and I still am! I hope you
like it just as much as I do! This is one of the journal pages that I
have recently made. If for some reason, you didn't know already, I
am joining in with Journal 52 and week 7's prompt was Valentines. So
far  I have had so much fun making these journal pages! For this page I
just made a very fun, inky background using my mums dylusion sprays and my
mum's  Tim Holtz stencils. I then stamped on it using a really pretty flower
stamp that both me and my mum love! After that, I let it dry over night and
then die cut a heart. I put some amazing crackle stuff on the heart
and left it for about an hour and then applied another coat. After that had
dried fully, I used my mums poska pen to do a zig zag down the middle and
coloured one side of it in. On the side that wasn't coloured in, I went
around the edges with the poska pen. Finally, again usingthe poska pen, I drew
a border around the edge of the page. Like I've already said, I absolutely
love this page! It is definitely my favourite page so far!

Thanks for visiting my blog and reading through this really long blog
post (Sorry for that by the way)
So I will see you next Monday!
Bye!

Ribbons & Buttons

Hi everyone! Sorry this post is late but I've just
been quite busy with organizing my posts and making
lots of things to keep my blog updated. So on Wednesday,
a new challenge started at Sparkles and sadly Shaz
(The leader of Sparkles) decided to step down but
rather than closing the blog down altogether she decided to hand
the blog over to Caz. Shaz will be very missed by everyone at
Sparkles! So April's theme for Sparkles was Ribbons & Buttons.
You can make absolutely anything but it must fit with the theme.
We are very lucky to have again 2 sponsors this month
which are:

Crafty Ribbons with a £10 gift voucher
and
Marianne Designs with 2 fab prizes.
For this challenge I did a really quick, simple but
still effective tag with such a cute dog topper.
What I used:
A Tag pre-cut made out of kraft card.
Some blue paper.
A really cute dog topper.
Some buttons.
Some brown gingam ribbon.
Some thin blue ribbon for the buttons.

To finish it off, I did some faux stitching around the
edges using a black fine liner. Thank you so much
for visiting my blog today, see you in the next post.
Bye!

Journal 52-Pathways

Hi there blog friends! You okay? This week on my blog,I decided to share with
you my very first journal page. So, if you didn't know already me and my mum
have decided to join in with Journal 52 and their weekly prompts. For the
first week the prompt was Pathways. My inspiration was choosing my
options. I've always known which pathway I wanted to take and when I
recently picked my options I was really nervous and scared that I wasn't going
to get the ones that I wanted. I picked Hairdressing and Art. In the end I was
extremely happy when I came home from school one day and was greeted with
my mum beaming at me and saying that I had got my options but it was a bit of
a battle lol. I really enjoyed the messiness of making this page, it was just so
easy and I didn't have to worry about it being neat or perfect. I will
definitely be doing more of these! Thanks for visiting, see you next time.

One For The Boys with Sparkles!

Hello there blog friends! How's your weekend been?
We've broken up from school and that means a whole week for
sleeping and crafting! It was my turn to pick the theme over
at Sparkles and I picked "One For The Boys".
We have 2 sponsors for this challenge; the first one is Dry Gulch
who are offering one winner a $10 gift voucher

and Crafty Sentiments who are giving another winner 3 digis!
For this challenge, I made a sprayey, inky background using my
mums Dylusion sprays and I love them! I matted and layered
that onto a piece of black card for the base. I stamped out a
Tim Holtz stamp and matted that onto another piece
of black card. I did the same with the sentiment and then
finished it with two little corner pieces! I really enjoyed
making this card especially with the sprays, I'll definitely
be using them again!

Thanks for visiting my blog, ill see you on the
next post hopefully sharing some more of my creations
using dylusions!
